The OASYS Manager module moves and copies files between systems on your network in accordance with configurable rules, either on a single PC or over your network. Any industry standard file type can be handled from sources such as edit suites and local storage devices. The OASYS Media Library automatically maintains details of all content held in the OASYS system using real file names for registering material, including video, audio, graphic and sub-title files. Search the library and automatically transfer files that are needed on your OASYS Player systems. The software runs on Microsoft operating systems, but can be set to scan and index files on Linux, EditShare and Isilon storage, as well as a full integration with XenData tape archiving.

Check and modify your content

Using the optional OASYS QC module each file can be automatically checked frame by frame to ensure that the whole file (and not just the header) is correct and can be played out without problems before being used on a real live schedule. Additional checks can be made for black and frozen frames, and the software is ready for programming of new checking attributes. Run on a central storage, or dedicated copying and checking system for peace of mind particularly when files are being sent from external sources.

Prepare content for playout by extracting sections of your files for later use. This can range from basic editing out of pre and post feed content, to hard segmenting of long form programs into to shorter segments with unique identities. Only certain file formats are supported for this feature, so you will need to check with the OASYS support team if you will be able to include this feature in your workflow.

The optional OASYS Browser module enables you browse AV files from your desktop and create / edit associated XML metadata files for use by the OASYS Media Library or by third party media asset management systems.
